Graduate Podiatry Recruitment Program

Podiatrist, Queensland Health

Podiatrists play a pivotal role in the care of persons with Chronic Disease and 'high risk feet'. 'High risk feet' are those diagnosed with amputations, foot ulcerations, peripheral neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease and gross foot deformities.

The Podiatrist can assess, diagnose and treat foot complications such as wounds, infection, circulatory, neurological problems and provides expert examination of the feet and lower limbs.

Specialist multi-disciplinary 'High Risk Foot' clinics, for patients with complex acute and chronic wounds, have been established at numerous facilities across the state where effective 'team' management of patients with chronic diseases facilitates optimal client outcomes.

As a Graduate Podiatrist, you will receive on-the-job training and networking opportunities, and learn to deliver a competent level in clinical services.

For further information, please refer to the Podiatry Fact Sheet.(PDF 542kB)
