Speech Pathology

Speech pathologists employed by Queensland Health work in multi-disciplinary teams in hospital and community based settings. Outreach services to regional Queensland are facilitated through a state of the art state-wide telehealth network.

Services are provided to patients with a range of conditions including:

Speech Pathologists employed by Queensland Health have access to active clinical research programs as well as opportunities to contribute to the ongoing clinical education of speech pathology graduates across Queensland.

Requirements to practise

Individuals wishing to practise as a Speech Pathologist in Queensland are required to be registered with the Speech Pathology Board of Queensland.

Overseas Trained Speech Pathologists

If you obtained your qualification outside of Australia you will be required to undertake an assessment by Speech Pathology Australia prior to applying for registration.
