The Queensland Needle and Syringe Program (QNSP) is part of Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug Services (ATODS).

Unit Functions

Policy development
Collection and evaluation of relevant data
Provision of information regarding NSP
Research relevant to NSP
Resource development
Co-ordination of relevant training materials
Provision of sterile injecting equipment to participating agencies throughout Queensland
Liaison with pharmacies regarding the coordinated supply of injecting equipment
Liaison with local government and other key stakeholders interested in the safe disposal of used injecting equipment
