Breast Cancer Support Groups

The Breast Cancer Support Service

The Breast Cancer Support Service is a national service coordinated by the state and territory cancer organisations which aim to provide practical and emotional support to women diagnosed with breast cancer. Look Good Feel Better

Look Good Feel Better is a community service for women undergoing cancer treatment, sponsored by the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Fragrance Association of Australia Inc. It is dedicated to teaching women beauty techniques to help restore their appearance and self-image during chemotherapy and radiotherapy. For further information, contact Carol on +61 7 3272 3878.

Breast Care Nurses

Queensland Health has dedicated Breast Care Nurse positions located in metropolitan, regional and rural centres across the state. Breast Care Nurses are specially trained nurses who act as patient advocates, coordinating care for women with breast cancer, their families and carers. The primary role of the Breast Care Nurse is to provide women diagnosed with breast cancer and their families with accurate information, emotional and practical support throughout their breast cancer journey. Breast Care Nurses can be found at the following locations:
