Bundaberg Hospital is the major hospital for Wide Bay Health Service District (WBHSD). The District covers an area from Agnes Waters and the Town of 1770 in the north, west to Monto, Mundubbera and south to Biggenden.
Today, the Bundaberg Hospital.cares for approximately 20,000 patients per year and welcomes around 1,100 babies. There are more then 33,000 visits to the emergency department each year and over 160,000 outpatient appointments each year.
