    Parking has changed at Caboolture Hospital

    Caboolture Hospital’s new multi-storey car park is now open.

    The multi-storey car park – also known as P2 – is accessible via both McKean Street and the All Weather Access Road.

    Paid parking now applies on the Caboolture Hospital campus.

    Access to the new multi-storey car park (P2)

    Access to P2 is via both McKean Street and the All Weather Access Road off Mewett Street. When you enter the hospital campus, follow the signs to P2.

    There are a number of car parking options available for patients and visitors on the Caboolture Hospital campus:

    • P1 – temporary drop-off zone for the Emergency Department and the Main Hospital
    • P2 – best access for Emergency Department and Caboolture Hospital Main Entry
    • P3 – best access for Outpatient Services appointments
    • P8 – best access for Community and Oral Health and Mental Health
    • P9 – best access drop-off/pick-up and accessible parking for Mental Health

    How to pay

    You will need to press for a paper ticket when you arrive at the entry gate of the car park. This will open the boom gate.

    You will need to pay for your parking when you are leaving the hospital. This can be done by entering your paper ticket into of the pay stations and paying by cash or credit/debit card or at the exit gate of the car park (credit/debit card only – cash payments not available at exit gate).

    Pay machines are located in the multi-storey car park (P2), outside the Main Hospital, Outpatient Services, Community and Oral Health and Mental Health buildings.

    All pay stations and entry/exit gates have assistance buttons which are attended 24/7.

    Vehicle height

    The multi-storey car park allows entry for vehicles up to 2.2 metres.

    There are no height restrictions to any of the at-grade car parks.

    Concessional rates

    A concession program is in place to provide a discount to parking fees for eligible patients and primary carers. You may be eligible if you are a patient or primary carer and meet one of the following criteria:

    • Frequent attendee – where the patient needs to be at the hospital two or more times a week for two weeks or longer
    • Extended stay – where the patient stays in hospital for 14 or more days in a row
    • Financial hardship
    • Other special considerations

    If you meet one of the eligibility criteria, you can apply for a concession by completing a concessions application form and taking it to the Central Admissions desk.

    People with disability

    There are accessible parking spaces for people with disability in the multi-storey car park (P2), the Outpatient Services car park (P3), the Community and Oral Health car park (P8) and the Mental Health car park (P9). There are also accessible parking spaces in the drop-off zone at the front of the Main Hospital.

    Caboolture Hospital also offers mobility assistance (wheelchairs). Please ask a volunteer at the Main Entry Information Booth if you need mobility assistance.

    Drop-off and pick-up

    Caboolture Hospital has several drop-off and pick-up zones. These zones can be found outside the:

    • Emergency Department (access via McKean Street)
    • Main Hospital (access via McKean Street)
    • Outpatient Services building
    • Mental Health Ward 2 building (access via McKean Street)
    • Community and Oral Health Building (access via Bury Street)

    These zones are subject to time restrictions.

    The multi-storey car park (P2) is owned and operated by Metro North Health.

    The car park office is open 7 am – 3.30 pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) and is located on the ground floor of P2.

    Public transport

    Bus

    TransLink bus stop 310304 is located on McKean Street, opposite St Columban’s College. Route 655 buses (Caboolture Station to Caboolture Hospital, TAFE, USC) service this stop regularly seven days per week.

    Route 895, 896 and 897 buses between Caboolture, Woodford and Kilcoy (TransLink bus stop 740106 at Kilcoy Coach Stop William Street) operate Monday to Friday with two route 896 services available on Saturday.  

    Several other bus routes to surrounding suburbs including Bellmere, Morayfield, Bribie Island and Redcliffe are available from Caboolture train station bus interchange.

    Train

    Caboolture train station is about 1.5 km from Caboolture Hospital. Trains on the Caboolture and Sunshine Coast lines operate regularly to Brisbane, Ipswich, Springfield, Nambour and Gympie North.

    Taxi and Rideshare

    Caboolture Hospital offers free taxi phones, which are located at the Main Entry volunteer hut (off Mewett Street). Rideshare services can also drop off and pick up customers at this location.
