There are three Health Community Councils for the Cairns and Hinterland Health Service District. These advisory bodies give communities a more direct say in the performance and quality of local health services.
Members are appointed for a period of up to four years and each council will meet at least once every two months.
Scott Pickard, Manager Executive Services and Planning is the Cairns and Hinterland Health Service District representative for the Health Community Council.
