Welcome to Cape York Hospital and Health Service

Cape York Hospital and Health Service (HHS) covers an area of approximately 127,819 square kilometres and represents about 17 per cent of the total area of North Queensland.

The Service cares for a population of over 14,400 in the remote communities within the Cape York Peninsula and delivers comprehensive primary health and sub-acute care services through a network of hospitals and community health centres.

The Cape York Hospital and Health Service (HHS) also supports a wide range of healthcare providers including outreach teams and visiting specialist services from other Health Services (mainly Cairns) and non-government providers such as Apunipima Cape York Health Council and the Royal Flying Doctors Service.
