Reflecting

What do we know already?

Questions to ask
Working as individuals, bring to mind the most significant instance you have had personally within the last year that involved a group activity, planning activity, partnership process, work relationship or event or action group.

Bring it vividly to mind and describe it (ie type of event, time, date, participants):

• What happened?
• How did you react?
• How did other people react to the situation?

Interpreting

Why is it important to us?

Questions to ask

• What group and individual values do you think these actions communicated?
• What meaning do you think others may have taken from this? That is, not meaning taken from the values we believe we have but meaning taken from the values portrayed by our actions. Be precise in the language in which you report this.

• What values will guide the group? Should they be written down?
• How will the group use these values to guide their work?
