Caboolture Hospital is a 194-bed hospital servicing a catchment population of 140,000.
In January 2010, Caboolture Hospital was the first hospital in Queensland to undergo accreditation under new guidelines developed by Baby Friendly Initiative Australia, which aims to create health care facilities with an environment where breastfeeding is the norm and practices known to promote the health and well being of all babies and their mothers are followed.
Expansion of specialist children's services at Caboolture Hospital will come online in 2012.
