Consulting with children in the community

Younger children and interested children who are not part of the Youth Advisory Council will have opportunities to contribute to the planning through:

structured group activities planned though the Royal Children's Hospital  and Mater Children's Hospital schools and schools from Education Queensland, Catholic Education and independent schools who wish to be involved

activities involving inpatient and outpatients in regional hospitals and health centres

activities targeted to special needs groups such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.

Children and young people - tell us what you think

If you have been a patient or have visited a friend in hospital, we would like your ideas on what could make a stay in hospital a better experience.  Your ideas could be about livening up the rooms, creating interactive spaces, entertainment, and making the hospital a whole lot more fun.

This is a chance to let your imagination run free.

It is a great chance to help us get it right for thousands of children and young people who will use the Queensland Children's Hospital in the future.

Simply download the booklet and give us your ideas.  Please use words or pictures to describe your ideas and though on one or all of the topics.
