Caboolture & Kilcoy Hospital honoured five successful recipients of the 2011 Voices for Infection prevention (VIP) Award at their June Staff Forum. This award presentation was held in conjunction with the Heartfelt Service Award. The Heartfelt Service Award recipient is nominated by patients or visitors, to acknowledge staff members that provided outstanding care or service.
Angel Carter was the deserving recipient of the June Heartfelt Service Award. Angel is a member of Caboolture Hospital’s operational services team and received four nominations for her exceptional standard of work and dedication to ensuring the highest quality healthcare. We believe that Angel is a perfect example of a VIP and we would like to acknowledge and showcase her outstanding achievements.
Below is one of the patient comments Angel received…
“…whilst I have been in hospital for 8 days I have observed her work ethic. I observed her sanitising a bed after a patient was discharged. I was totally amazed by what a thorough job she did in every respect. Her friendly attitude and diligence is remarkable. She is extremely quick and does a wonderful job. I am praying Angel has cleansed my bed, before I climbed around. I was chatting to other patients and they happen to mention Angel’s ethics, friendliness and professional ways. Angel goes out of her way to help in all areas. I think the hospital is fortunate to have such a great employee. I’d love Angel to be apart of my company…”
Thank you to Angel for her contribution to infection control and ensuring patients receive the highest quality of care.
The VIP Award recipients and the Heartfelt Service Award-Employee of the month have been recognised in the July issue of the Caboolture & Kilcoy newsletter.
