Example Nominations

"I have noticed that John is very habitual in his use of personal protective equipment as well as hand hygiene. I have witnessed him do this even if others more senior do not. As a registrar, John is a good role model to others and actively reminds interns to pay attention to infection prevention precautions."

"When the flu vaccination was offered, Kerry walked around our ward and told everyone to take time to get vaccinated. She is known as someone who looks after her team and this is just one example of how she does this. Last year, I probably wouldn't have been vaccinated if it were not for Kerry."

"I've noticed that Lisa consistently wears gloves when taking blood. She sets an example for her peers - many of whom I've witnessed taking blood without wearing gloves."

"Jason is very hygienic when he is preparing food. He washes his hands and wears and apron and gloves when appropriate. When I work with him, I am reminded to do the same. If I were in the hospital, I'd want someone like him preparing my meals."

Selection Process & Panel

A panel which includes the Executive Director Caboolture-Kilcoy Hospital, Caroline Weaver, the infection prevention team, a member from Corporate Services and CHRISP will review the nominations and select the award recipients. Names of the nominees will be kept from the panel during the selection process.
