Education
As an enabler of evidence based practice, CHRISP's mission is to provide the necessary education, competencies and capabilities to prevent healthcare associated infection.
CHRISP achieves this through a range of strategies which include:
- initiation and coordination of networks / communities of practice
- identification of learning needs, design and implementation of learning solutions and the evaluation of learning outcomes
- provision of training / developmental positions within CHRISP
- provision of mentoring and coaching to Queensland Health staff
- provision of funding for Queensland Health staff to participate in education and training
- provision of scholarships for further education and training
- partnering with medical industry in the provision of education and training
- partnering with other education providers within Queensland Health
- partnering with professional associations, community services and other government departments
- partnering with universities in the provision of contemporary infection prevention and control education
- undertaking research
- presenting at state, national and international conferences
