For all information on how to measure hand hygiene compliance please refer to Recommended Practice 4.

Hand Hygiene compliance data needs to be submitted to the Health Quality and Complaints Commission (HQCC) and to CHRISP. Please discuss with your local quality co-ordinator on how to submit to HQCC. How to submit data to CHRISP

To submit hand hygiene data to CHRISP please follow these steps:

  1. Ensure all data has been inputted into HCAT
  2. Open HCAT and log in with your name
  3. Click on the EXPORT button towards the bottom of the screen
  4. When the save file screen opens - name your file - select your usual hand hygiene directory - click on OPEN button. Your file is then automatically saved to the chosen directory.
  5. Open a new email in Groupwise - locate the file (eg. gympie.txt) you just saved and attach to the email. Send email to hand_hygiene@health.qld.gov.au

CHRISP will then import your data into an aggregated database so that a statewide compliance % may be determined.
