RISK 1 - Cross-infection due to poor compliance with hand washing.

 

Staff & visitors have access to hand washing sinks, hand washing solutions and paper hand towels
Staff demonstrate hand washing before and after patient contact, returning from toilet or meal breaks and arriving/departing work
Alternative hand disinfection products available for use when hand basins not readily accessible

Moderate - Loss of function, Major harm caused
Major - Loss of life
Extreme - Multiple deaths
