Support Services
To facilitate problem solving and in an effort to minimise disruption to services, CHRISP in consultation with Queensland Health's Asset Management Unit, District Building, Engineering and Maintenance staff, CSD and Perioperative staff, have developed a number of resources to assist health service district staff with procurement planning, management and maintenance of instruments and sterilising related equipment.
These resources take in consideration the requirements of the Queensland Health Infection Control Guidelines and Australian/New Zealand Standard 4187:2003 "Cleaning, Disinfecting and Sterilising resusable medical and surgical instruments and equipment, and associated environments in health care facilities" and include:
