The Queensland Strategy for Chronic Disease 2005–2015 aims to engage stakeholders involved in the prevention, early detection and management of chronic diseases at a system, service and individual level across the continuum of care.
The strategy identifies stakeholder engagement as a major focus for providing a positive partnership environment and enhancing community capacity. The strategy is supported by a range of guidelines, research and initiatives.
The goal of stakeholder engagement is to develop new ways of working that engage stakeholders in partnership to address the health needs of the local population.
