
Service providers
The Queensland Strategy for Chronic Disease 2005–2015 recognises that in order to adequately address the burden of chronic disease there needs to be:

an increase in health workforce capacity and infrastructure
-
continued activity in the health workforce to ensure the recruitment, development and retention of an appropriately skilled workforce
-
more flexible and innovative service delivery models
-
health workforce realignment to meet changing patterns of service delivery and to respond to community expectations.
