Implementation

To ensure effective implementation of the (COAG) National Action Plan on Mental Health 2006-2011, the Premier’s or Chief Minister’s department in each state and territory have convened a COAG Mental Health Group. In Queensland the  COAG Mental Health Group, chaired by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC), is responsible for the implementation of a more integrated service delivery model across a number of sectors.

State and Territory Governments and the Commonwealth Government meet regularly to discuss the integration of services. Together, joint action is coordinated to better support people with a mental illness to access services and improve outcomes.
