Queensland COAG Mental Health Group (QCMHG)

This group comprises representatives from Commonwealth and Queensland government departments with responsibility for and expertise in mental health policy and service delivery. In order to deliver the best possible system of care the group also includes representation from key stakeholder groups, including general practice, private psychiatrists, non-government organisations, consumers and carers.

The Queensland COAG Mental Health Group is comprised of senior representatives from the following:

• Department of Housing (DoH)
• Disability Services Queensland (DSQ)
• Department of Communities (DoC)

Commonwealth Government

• Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA)
• Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs (FaHCSIA)
• Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR)

Non-Government Sector

• Queensland Council of Social Services (QCOSS)
• Queensland Alliance
• Queensland Aboriginal Islander Health Council (QAIHC)

Private Sector

• General Practice Queensland (GPQ)
• Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP)
• Australian and New Zealand College of Mental Health Nursing (ANZCMHN)
• Australian Psychological Society (APN)

Consumer and Carer Representatives

• To be nominated by the Queensland Health Statewide Mental Health Network
