Objectives/Aims:

To improve Indigenous Health Workers' knowledge and understanding of palliative care

To enhance palliative care health professionals' sensitivity to and knowledge of Indigenous culture
Details:
The Centre has worked with representatives from local Indigenous communities to provide workshops and education resources that aim to increase understanding of cultural difference. In conjunction with the PEPA project team, the Centre has facilitated education programs for Indigenous Health Workers to increase their capacity to support palliative care patients in their community.
Future workshops for Indigenous Health Workers will depend on the availability of funding.
