Clinical Practice Improvement Payment (CPIP) is a service improvement strategy to encourage and reward good quality care. It is being integrated into the new Queensland Health funding model that includes a number of incentive payments.
CPIP will be implemented as a pilot project commencing January 2008 as the incentive component of the new case mix funding system that was implemented in QLD Health as of July 2007. The CPIP Implementation Plan January 2008 outlines the indicators eligible for payment and the framework for implementing CPIP for the initial pilot phase.
