Rockhampton Hospital receives funding from the Commonwealth Government to develop a regional cancer centre.

Planning and Design

The Rockhampton Cancer Care will have:

• 3 bunkers and 2 linear accelerators
• CT
• 20 inpatient beds
• 14 Day Therapy treatment places
• Facilities for education, clinical
  trials and research
• Specialised MDT facilities

Site Works and Construction

Construction is currently underway to develop the new ward block.

Opening new Ward block

It is anticipated the new ward block will be opening in 2014.
