About the Cunningham Centre

The Cunningham Centre  is Queensland Health’s largest and most established Registered Training Organisation. Since its establishment in 1989, the Centre has been involved in high quality training, education, research and support of health personnel in rural Queensland.

The main office is located on the Toowoomba Hospital campus with other offices in Cairns, Townsville, Brisbane, Roma, Rockhampton, Stanthorpe and Goondiwindi. Infrastructure support services are provided by the Darling Downs West Moreton Health Service District  whilst professional support is provided by the Office of Rural and Remote Health.

A state-wide team of experienced and accredited trainers deliver a wide range of high quality programs throughout Queensland in areas such as Medicine, Nursing, Allied Health, Multidisciplinary and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health. The Cunningham Centre employs a wide variety of delivery modes, including on-site training in hospitals, clinics, healthcare centres, video conferencing and teleconferencing.

The Cunningham Centre embraces the important values of excellence in the delivery of relevant training and education, the provision of post-graduate clinical up-skilling, support for clinical and non-clinical staff and partnering with others stakeholders in the industry, all underpinned by integrity, quality, leadership, learning and teamwork.

The Cunningham Centre  staff is the basis of the centre’s success and continues to build organisational capability that leads to highly skilled, motivated trainers, recognised as responsive, creative and innovative, who continue to deliver high-quality services to all our students.

I welcome you to our learning network and trust that you will find your time with us rewarding and fulfilling.
