Management Development Program (MDP)

Information Update!

Due to a recent review of management development needs within the organisation, Queensland Health has informed QUT that the current Management Development Program is being phased out and new initiatives are being developed to take its place.
 
One of the new initiatives being developed by Queensland Health is a Management Development Subsidy Scheme and you may wish to seek information about this program from me when the details are finalised by Corporate Office.
 
I would be happy to assist you further when the information about the new program is determined.

Assessment and Training Program for Operational Staff (OOP training)

This program is designed to provide core operational staff with appropriate training and competencies relevent to:

• cleaning support services,
• client/patient support services,
• food support services,
• laundry support services and
• grounds maintenance.

through an agreement between Queensland Health and the Open Learning Institute of TAFE. 

 

This program is for:

• interested 002 staff

 This program offers:

• a Cert II qualification in Health Support Services for interested operational staff and
• once attained, allows staff who have been at the maximum pay point (ie 002 (4)) for 12 months or more to qualify for additional allowance.

This program costs:

• This program is fully subsidised by Queensland Health to approved applicants.

This program starts:

• enrol any time

Administrative Professional Program (APP)

This program is designed to:

• provide training to staff who wish to upskill and have reached their maximum classification pay point level in their specified classification level
• give you nationally recognised qualifications through the Open Learning Institute of TAFE
  

This program is for:

• A02-AO4,
• permanent full-time, 
• permanent part-time,
• temporary or casual employees may be considered on a case by case basis.

 

This program offers the following qualifications:

• Certificate II in Government
• Certificate III in Government
• Certificate IV in Government
• Certificate IV in Government (Project Management)
• Diploma of Government

 

The programs cost:

• The program costs may be met by Queensland Health or by the staff member undertaking the course.

Programs start:

• Enrol at any time
