The intent of this supervision framework is to provide guidelines for supervision practice for General Health Allied Health Professionals. This framework should not be considered a "prescription" or "one size fits all" supervision. Allied Health practitioners and current health practice is as diverse as our approach to supervision should be.
This framework should be considered as a resource that allows flexibility for local implementation into diverse work areas and districts that are serviced by Allied Health Professionals. Any local implementation will consider existing policies, practices, and current staffing experience. Supervision is not static. It flows with the demands of staff striving to achieve identified goals, changes in roles, changes in professional and clinical practice, and organisational requirements.
A complete Supervision Guide may be downloaded, and individual documents may be accessed as required.
