
The Queensland Health Management Capability Framework
The Queensland Health Management Capability Framework was endorsed in 2008 as the standard for management competencies in the organisation at three levels, across both people and business management skill areas. The Vocational Education and Training team at the Cunningham Centre have developed and deliver:
Sailing into Supervision
Bouncing into Business
The programs are mapped to Level 1 People and Business Management Competencies withint the Queensland Health Management Capability Framework.
The programs are also mapped to Nationally Recognised Units of Competencies from the Health Training Package and Business Training Package.
Targeted Training Programs
All Health Service Districts are responsible for promoting and supporting access to targeted training initiatives such as the Queensland Health Operational Officers Program (OOP) and the Administrative Professional Programs (APP). As a Registered Training Organisation, the Cunningham Centre has assumed responsiblity for the statewide rollout of the OPP and APP initiatives.
These programs have been developed to provide staff with an opportunity to have their exsisting skills, knowledge and abilities recognised, while identifying future learning needs. Under the terms of the Certified Agreement, Queensland Health will continue to fund the following qualifications for 002 and AO2-AO4 staff respectively.

Communication, Leadership and Supervisor Skills (CLaSS) Workshops are a suite of half or one day professional development experiences offered by the Training Development team. These programs provide focussed opportunities for staff to enhance their workplace skills, and can contribute to better workplace culture. Enquiries regarding any of these programs should be directed to the Client Support Officer.
