Queensland Health's 'Defend against Dengue' campaign provides advice on the prevention of dengue fever and aims to reduce the spread of dengue fever in North Queensland.
The campaign warns that dengue fever is a serious disease. It gives examples of ways to reduce the number of dengue mosquito breeding sites and how to protect yourself and your family against this disease.
Prevention
The prevention television advertisement highlights the three key steps needed to reduce dengue mosquito breeding sites around the home: TIP IT, STORE IT, THROW IT. Tip out any pooled water, store anything that can hold water undercover and throw out any yard rubbish.
