Intermittent claudication: complex of symptoms characterised by absence of pain or discomfort in a limb at rest, but on walking the commencement of pain, tension & weakness intensifies until walking is impossible. Symptoms dissipate after the limb is at rest.
IP joints: inter phalangial joint.
Ischaemia: loss of oxygen due to an obstruction in blood flow.
