Working to a pest management plan that your council supports is essential if you are to make the best use of your time and resources. Your plan can be part of your council’s broader Environmental Health Management Plan. Councils don’t necessarily develop a plan for each issue.

Mosquitoes—Dengue fever

Rats, dogs, etc.—Leptospirosis

Bats and flying foxes—Lyssavirus

Pest management plans are common. If you need further assistance to develop your plan, contact other EHWs, your Environmental Health Coordinator, an EHO at your nearest local government, or an EHO at your nearest Population Health Unit.
