The Access to Health Services - Transport is the Key document was commissioned in November 2004 to examine the implications for patients accessing Queensland Health services. The study reviewed national and selected international research and analysis of the NSW Health "Transport in Health" framework.
Within the Forster - Queensland Health Systems Review Final Report it was recommended that this document be used to form the basis of decision making for patient transport reform.
