If a person is already an involuntary patient of a mental health service, the Director of Mental Health will be notified and will request a mental health examination and report from the Treating Psychiatrist.
After reviewing the treating psychiatrist's report, the Director of Mental Health will decide whether to refer the case to:
If the person is already being treated by a mental health service, their treatment will continue. This would include regular reviews of the person's mental well being and safety in the community.
