Vision and culture for the new hospital

The new Gold Coast University Hospital is a vital component in Queensland Health’s vision of delivering state-of-the-art health service facilities designed to cope with extraordinary population growth in South East Queensland.

The aim of the new hospital is to create a facility that provides the technology to support high level service delivery by staff; meet the healing needs of patients; and the learning requirements of students and staff

This will enable the hospital to maximise its capacity to teach the health professionals of the future.

The hospital will employ the latest techniques and technologies in health care to attract highly skilled clinical staff and researchers from across the world.

Located in a natural parkland setting, the hospital grounds will incorporate tranquil gardens promoting relaxation and recuperation.

The new hospital will form part of a network of expanded services on the Gold Coast to better meet the needs of patients and their families, staff, students and visitors.
