Located in the heart of the Robina CBD, Robina Hospital is growing with the Gold Coast.
By mid 2011, the Gold Coast community will have access to 179 additional beds and a wider range of health services on offer at Robina Hospital.
The Robina Hospital Expansion project will see this public hospital nearly double in size to become a 364 bed teaching facility and the sixth largest hospital in Queensland.
Robina Hospital is simultaneously undertaking the $274.3 million second and third stages of its expansion. This project, alongside the Robina Health Precinct, will concurrently transform health services in Robina and work is on schedule for completion in 2011. Refurbishment of Robina Hospital's original buildings is due for completion in mid 2012.
New and expanded services will be progressively opened from July 2011 and include surgery, general and specialist medicine, aged care and dementia, emergency medicine, intensive care, cardiology, mental health, radiology and ambulatory care services.
A new teaching and research area for students and teaching staff will feature at Robina Hospital in conjunction with Bond University. The $2.7 million facility will include a 100 seat lecture theatre, tutorial rooms, clinical skills laboratory, research offices and student amenities.

Short-term parking and set down areas are available for public use. Patients and their visitors are welcome to park in the emergency department car park and front southern car park.
Construction of a multi-deck car park is currently underway with the opening timed to coincide with the completion of the first stage of refurbishment of Robina Hospital in mid 2011.
