Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service - Human Research Ethics Committee

The Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS) Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) is constituted, and functions, in accordance with the NHMRC "National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research (2007)"; and complies with the "Australian Code for Responsible Conduct of Research (2007)" and the Queensland Health Research Management Policy and Framework 2010.

The committtee is a nationally registered HREC; NHMRC code EC00160.

The GCHHS HREC is no longer certified as a single ethical review committee under HoMER and is therefore authorised to review any new multi-centred research proposals.
