The safe design and operation of plant/vehicles in the workplace and public environment are areas of great importance. Many hazards and potential hazards can be eliminated through a structured process that will identify unsafe conditions and systems. The employer must ensure that all plant/vehicles under their control are maintained and operated in a manner that does not risk an individual’s health and safety. The employer must also provide safety information, training and systems as prescribed under Workplace Health and Safety Legislation.
