Pap Smear Register
The Queensland Health Cervical Screening Program is a key component of the Queensland Cervical Screening Program. The PSR is a central database of Pap Smear results and related histology, providing a back-up reminder service to women overdue for a regular Pap Smear. It maintains an accurate and complete history of Pap Smears and cervical biopsies for women. The Registry does not replace the health practitioner's role in providing Pap Smears or giving results to women.
BreastScreen Queensland
BreastScreen Queensland is a breast screening service provided by Queensland Health. BreastScreen Queensland provides free two yearly breast screening for breast cancer to women aged 40 to 70 years.
Mobile Women's Health Service
The Mobile Women's Health Service is provided by Queensland Health. The Service aims to promote, maintain and improve the health and well-being of women in rural, remote and isolated parts of Queensland. It offers:
It is complementary to existing services and has referral networks to General Practitioners and other service providers.
Domestic Violence
Domestic Violence Helpline: Ph. 1800 811 811. This is a 24-hour service for all ages.
