HACC Workforce Skills Development
A new workforce skills development approach is being developed which
acknowledges that HACC is now part of the Department of Communities,
where opportunities are available to consolidate, streamline,
remove duplication and leverage workforce development strategies across
Program areas.
The Childrens Services Skilling Plan and the Disability Services
Skilling Plan are examples of outstanding workforce development
strategies. Further information is available

Negotiations have occurred between Department of Communities and
Department of Education and Training to implement similar skilling plan
initiatives for HACC funded services.
The skilling plan offers individual workers an opportunity to have
identified skills development requirements met through:
Statewide TAFE delivery
Vocational training assistance grants
Skills development scholarships
Workplace assessment and mentoring
Indigenous mentoring and
Cross-cultural practice development.
Representatives from Department of Communities and Department of
Education and Training are available to attend regional HACC forums to
provide further information. If you require futher information please ring - Ph: 34053579
