HACC Logo Guidelines

Due recognition:

The HACC logo is protected by Australia-wide copyright and unauthorised use is not permitted. A sub-licensing process is in place to enable HACC-funded agencies to use the logo in order to identify HACC-funded initiatives. The HACC logo is used on office stationery, publications, websites, uniforms, ID badges promotional materials and signage etc to recognise the HACC funding source.

HACC-funded vehicles are identified by the use of official HACC car decals ( stickers) available free from the HACC Resource Unit. A logo sublicence is not required to use HACC stickers on official HACC vehicles.

The Queensland Government through Disability Services Queensland is licensed to the Australian Government to use the HACC logo and issue sub-licences to approved applicants. Nongovernment Organisations wishing to obtain a sub-licence to use the HACC logo need to apply to the Media & Communications Officer HACC Resource Unit, who manages the HACC logo sub-licensing process for Queensland service providers.

Queensland Health HACC services are covered by the State of Queensland's licence and do not need to appply for a sub licence.

Steps to obtaining a logo sub-licence

1. Obtain a logo application form (see link below)

2. Complete, sign and date the form and fax or mail it to:
Media & Communications Officer, HACC Resource Unit, Chermside Community Health Centre, The Prince Charles Hospital, Rode Road, CHERMSIDE QLD 4032. Fax: 3630 5285.

3. On approval, two copies of the sub-licensing Deed of Agreement are sent to the applicant for signature by two authorised officials.

4. Applicant returns the signed Deeds to the Media & Communications Officer.

5. Media & Communications Officer arranges for the Deeds to be executed by the director, HACC Branch, Disability Services Qld.

6. One signed copy of the Deed goes to the Department's legal document register.

7. The second signed copy is returned to the applicant.

8. The HACC logo (black and coloured versions) and the HACC program's due recognition guidelines are sent to the applicant by email or on CD.

Tips for applicants

  • · The Deed of Agreement will cover only the uses specified in your application. To save having to re-apply for another Deed of Agreement at some future date, include on the application form all present and future uses your agency may have for the logo.

  • · If your agency auspices more than one HACC-funded service, list these in the one corporate application rather than lodging several separate applications, resulting in multiple Deeds of Agreement!
