The HACC Resource Unit’s special library offers practical resources and workforce development support to more than 800 HACC funded service providers throughout Queensland. The library lends to managers and coordinators of HACC services, direct care workers, nurses, allied health professionals and therapists.
Resources available for borrowing include training DVDs and videos, audio tapes, learning kits, manuals and books. New titles are added to the collection regularly to ensure that resources address current and emerging needs.
Specialised resource assistance is available from the Unit’s Librarian who is able to match the appropriate resource to your service delivery or management problem. The Librarian is familiar with all the resources in the collection and on the HACC Web-site and will provide on-the-spot advice to help you. If a suitable resource is not in the collection or available electronically on the HACC web site she will give you expert advice on alternative sources of information.
Becoming a registered borrower is as simple as faxing/e-mailing to the Librarian the Borrower Registration Form on the HACC website. (The form can be emailed or faxed to you on request).
When you wish to borrow a particular resource, fill in the Request for Resource form on the website and fax/e-mail it to the Librarian at 3630 5285. (This form can also be emailed or faxed to you).
Visitors to the library are welcome – just phone the Librarian on 3139 4664 and make an appointment to see the collection and discuss your resource needs.
The HACC Resource Unit library is open during normal business hours – 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. There is free visitor parking in front of the building.
