HACC Service Delivery guidelines

Overview

Description

The Home and Community Care (HACC) Program is a cost-shared program between the Australian Government and respective State/Territory Governments.  The HACC Program is a key provider of community care services to frail aged, younger people with disabilities, and their carers, providing a range of basic support and maintenance services.

The program is delivered under the terms of the Home and Community Care Act 1985, and administered by Department of Communities through the HACC Amending Agreements and Program Management Manual, as negotiated between the States/Territories and Australian Government. The program purchases services under 18 different service types. This document provides the application and interpretation of national service type definitions within the context of Queensland that are purchased from service providers.  It also provides a guide to the calculation of units of service, including unit costs, associated with the provision of HACC services.
