The Learning to Support the School Community to Manage Head Lice: A Self-paced Guide was developed to provide detailed information to support the school community to manage head lice.
In particular, the Guide is designed to provide information for parents or school staff who wish to take on the role of head lice support volunteer. It has also been developed for other people in the school community such as principals teachers, community participation/liaison officer, schools nurses and administration staff to improve their understanding of head lice and the role of the head lice support volunteer.
The guide provides a detailed description of the role of the head lice support volunteer. The guide also provides information on general facts about head lice, detection and treatment of head lice. The package is designed as five units that allow the reader to work at their own pace.
