A key component of devolvement to Hospital and Health Services (HHSs) affects the role of Queensland Health's corporate office.
From 1 July 2012, corporate office took the role of System Manager focusing on system-wide policy, planning and service purchasing and supporting system-wide quality and safety and service innovation.
The System Manager also supports the HHSs as they transition to becoming statutory bodies and continues the coordination of statewide industrial arrangements.
The System Manager purchases services from the HHSs under service level agreements.
