Selected Queensland Hospital Activity Indicators
Proportion of admitted patients who are same day patients (Monthly percents)
Description Monthly proportions of same day patients for Queensland Public Acute Hospitals. Data are available for the top 28 Hospitals only.  
Definition A same-day patient is a patient who is admitted and separates on the same date. All episodes of care are counted except boarders, posthumous organ procurement and unqualified newborns.

Timeliness Data are generally available 2 months after the completion of the reference month. If a Hospital has not provided their data electronically before that time, then the monthly data for that Hospital are imputed by an estimation process
