Overview
Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) has 986 beds and is one of three tertiary level facilities in Queensland. It provides care in all major adult specialties, with the exception of obstetrics. Its elective surgery includes: cardio-thoracic, ear nose and throat, eye, general, gynaecological, neurosurgical, orthopaedic, plastic, urological and vascular surgeries.

Infrastructure

Projects include:

  • The $134.6 million investment in the Princess Alexandra Hospital has already delivered an expanded Emergency Department and new world-class emergency retrieval helipad. Stage 3 of the expansion project, which saw expanded Radiation oncology facilities and outpatient areas, PET CT, and additional linear accelerators, was complete in mid 2011.
