The Industrial Relations Minister and the Public Service Commission Chief Executive may issue directives under sections 53, 54 and 55 of the Public Service Act 2008.
The Queensland Health Employment Framework HR Policy A1 outlines details of which directives apply to Hospital and Health Services.The Director General may issue health service directives regarding the terms and conditions of employment for health service employees under section 47 of the Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011.
All health service directives issued by the Governor in Council under the former Health Services Act 1991 have been repealed. The terms and conditions of employment fro health service employees included in these directives have been replaced by the following legislation, Public Service directives and Queensland Heath HR Policies:
