Business Process Review |
The QH Shared Services Partner in conjunction with the Supply Chain Management Integration Strategy (SCMIS) project is developing standard business processes for purchasing, increased use of Corporate Purchasing Card, and streamlining of accounts payable procedures (including utilities payments). |

Queensland Health Purchasing Policy & Procedures

The Agency Purchasing Procedures have been reviewed and the new Queensland Health Purchasing Policy and Procedures (QHPPP) were approved in August 2007. A statewide training program is currently underway. |

The SCMIS Project Team commenced early in 2007 to implement a strategy that includes the establishment of 3 Distribution Centres, improved inbound and outbound freight processes, and a standardised and streamlined procurement services delivery model. |

Whole of Government (woG) Finance System Implementation |
The replacement for FAMMIS will be part of woG system implementation that is currently in the planning stages. Bill Stewart is the Queensland Health "process owner" for Purchasing and Logistics and PLBIU is working closely with the QH Enterprise Solutions Transition (QHEST) team in managing the implementation for QH. |

Performance Measurement of QH Purchasing and Logistics |
A performance measurement framework has been established based on the Balanced Scorecard methodology. A balanced scorecard had been approved by the PALPAS Committee and performance measures will be finalised in 2007. The Materials Management Decision Support System (MM-DSS) will be developed to provide a performance measurement reporting tool based on the balanced scorecard. |

National Product Catalogue |
The National Product Catalogue (NPC) is an initiative of the National E-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA) that is creating a national repository of supply chain data for products supplied to the Health industry. The NPC is based in the GS1net solution and will be the primary source for product data used in the Queensland Health corporate catalogue. |
