Clinical Products Advisory Committee (CPAC)

The CPAC provides technical advice for clinical Standing Offer Arrangements (SOAs).

This may include coordinating product trials/assessments, evaluating tenders received and making recommendations on the "Best Ultimate Value to Queensland Health" on clinical SOAs CPAC considers.

Pharmaceuticals SOAs

These arrangements are co-ordinated by HSPL in conjunction with the Director of Pharmacy, Central Pharmacy and Adviser in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Advisory Services.  The Queensland Health Drug Advisory Committee (QHDAC) and other expert clinical personnel are consulted as required for evaluation of specialised items, e.g. Nutritional Products; Cytotoxic Premix; various complex pharmaceutical items included in the Anaesthetics, Cardiovascular and Central Nervous System arrangements.

Other Arrangements

Various Product Advisory Committees are convened to review other HSPL SOAs based on District Manager nominations.

Membership includes clinical, technical and administrative personnel from wide geographical locations around the State.  HSPL also co-ordinates scientific and clinical trialling for a number of the items included in these arrangements including -
