Health Services Purchasing and Logistics is responsible for cross-organisation standing offer arrangements (SOAs) in the following areas:

• clinical consumables and devices
• pharmaceuticals,
• medical equipment (see Bulk Purchase of Medical Equipment)
• pathology supplies,
• information technology and services, and
• other miscellanious commodities of high relative spend.

Use of SOAs

In most cases, HPSL contracts and standing offer arrangements are mandatory for use by all Queensland Health Health Service Districts and Statewide Services.

Some SOAs may also be accessed by other publicly-funded organisations, as negotiated, such as the Mater Hospitals (please contact the relevant Contract Manager for details).

SOA Consultations and Communications

HSPL's SOA Managers are working to establish effective consultation and communication with both our internal Queensland Health clients and our suppliers, via the following processes:

• Clinical Products Advisory Committee
• Strategic Supplier Meetings (Annual Program)
• SOA Items Complaints Protocol
